Snoop Dogg throwing out his USC underwear now
Cordell Broadus announced on Signing Day Wednesday that he was going to sign with UCLA, picking the Bruins over the cross-town rival Trojans.
Broadus’ decision was not a huge surprise in terms of what had been reported about his preferences, but it did create a small rift in his household. Broadus’ dad, rapper/entertainer Snoop Dogg, is a huge USC fan. But Snoop said at his son’s announcement that his allegiance is now changing to UCLA.
“We totally stand by his decision to go to UCLA … we Bruins now,” Snoop said during the announcement on ESPN.
Snoop also joked prior to the announcement that even if his son chose another school, he would still wear USC underwear to continue his support of the Trojans. But after his son’s announcement, Snoop said he was going to throw out all his USC underwear.
“I’m gonna back him up 1,000 percent, so I’m throwing all my USC drawers away. I’m going UCLA 100,000 percent!”
It’s nice to have the Broadus family on board in Westwood. Between Cordell and P. Diddy’s son, UCLA has all the rappers covered.
