Bad beats: Fantasy owners who lost on Packers-Seahawks Hail Mary

You didn’t think that sports bettors were the only ones who lost big on the botched call to end “Monday Night Football” between the Packers and Seahawks, did you? Of course not. There are plenty of stories of fantasy owners who were affected by the brutal call. We have the tales of some of those bad beats below.

Andrew Geiger lost his fantasy matchup by 1.84 points thanks to the bad call. Not only did he lose points when the Packers’ defensive points allowed went from 7 to 14, but he also lost on the yards gained on the final play. Double whammy!

Photgraphers Smallz and Raskind lost thanks to the Hail Mary, too. They lost 2 points when the point total jumped from 7 to 14, 2 more because of the lost interception that they would have had, and 0.5 points on the yardage the Seahawks gained on the play. They ended up losing by two points.

Charles Marvel was another unfortunate Packers defense victim. Marvel lost his matchup by three points. Based on his league’s rules, the Hail Mary pass cost him four points that would have given him the win:

These are only three examples of bad beats. There are no doubt thousands of more stories like these, and that doesn’t even count fantasy owners who lost to someone playing Golden Tate or Russell Wilson in their lineup!

Yes, the affects of the Hail Mary call were far-reaching. Let’s hope none of these players end up missing their fantasy playoffs by one win.
