Jermichael Finley takes shot at Aaron Rodgers

Jermichael Finley Aaron RodgersJermichael Finley is not the biggest Aaron Rodgers fan, and the ex-Packers tight end thinks his former quarterback is going to be exposed without his top wide receiver.

Jordy Nelson suffered what many believe is a torn ACL during Sunday’s preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. After news of Nelson’s injury circulated, Finley, who suffered a severe neck injury in 2013, sent the following tweet:

Don’t mistake that as anything other than a shot from Finley at Rodgers. Recall that the former Texas Longhorn didn’t exactly have the smoothest relationship with Rodgers during his six years in Green Bay.

Prior to the 2012 season, Finley said he had no chemistry with Rodgers. Then after the season began, Finley’s agent criticized Rodgers and said the quarterback was not a good leader. Do you think Finley responded by downplaying things? Nope. He complained a month later that he had issues with Rodgers. Then a month after that, he vented again.

It’s pretty obvious that Finley has some personal issues with Rodgers. He’s also probably the only person left on the planet who doesn’t think Rodgers is the best quarterback in the world. As awesome as Nelson is, he’s not the reason Rodgers has won two NFL MVP awards, four Pro Bowl spots, and a coveted Super Bowl MVP. Get real, Jermichael.
