Ryan Clady says Peyton Manning is ‘just better than Tim Tebow’

Tim Tebow received a ton of support from his Broncos teammates throughout the entire 2011 season, but there are no watery eyes in Denver now that Peyton Manning is coming to town. Manning is a Super Bowl-winner, a four-time MVP, and a lock for the Hall of Fame. Regardless of how much the Broncos like Tebow, Peyton gives them a better chance to win right now. After the big news broke on Monday, Broncos tackle Ryan Clady shared his thoughts about as honestly as possible.

“At the end of the day, Peyton Manning is just better than Tim Tebow,” Clady told ESPN’s Josina Anderson according to Pro Football Talk.

Clady also tweeted “Yes!!!!!!!!!!” after the news was announced. The tackle is not the only Bronco who is excited to be turning to Manning in favor of Tebow next season. Linebacker Von Miller also believes Manning gives the team a better chance to win and improve.

“I love Tim Tebow on and off the field — he is a great teammate,” Miller said. “But we can learn a lot more from Peyton Manning because he’s been to Super Bowls, he’s a four-time MVP.”

Hardcore Tebow fans might interpret the above comments as kicking No. 15 on his way out the door, but it’s the truth. John Elway made it a point over the last couple months to assure everyone that Tebow was going to be the guy in Denver for a long time, but as you see things can change in a hurry when a guy like Manning becomes available.
