Creepiest ‘Miracle’ speech ever involves Ronald McDonald and CHL’s Allen Americans (Video)
Earlier this month, the CHL’s Allen Americans held their fourth annual “McDonalds Night.” There’s no shame in wearing McDonalds-themed jerseys and turning into skating billboards for a night if it means keeping the team afloat. Professional sports organizations at the lower levels need to get creative sometimes to make money, and “McDonalds Night” obviously works for the Americans.
That being said, they may have taken it a bit too far this year. Over the past several days, the Ronald McDonald “Miracle” speech that you see above in all of its creepiness has gone viral. I know I’m not the only one who’s totally weirded out by this.
In terms of promotions, I guess you could argue that a viral video featuring a clown giving a Herb Brooks speech is better than college students puking all over the ice. That doesn’t mean we have to like it.
