The Milwaukee Brewers finished the 2025 MLB season as the top seed in the National League, but the Los Angeles Dodgers knocked them off in the NLCS.
With MLB Opening Day finally here, the Brewers begin the season against the Chicago White Sox at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wis.
Unfortunately, the Brewers placed star outfielder Jackson Chourio on the Injured List just hours before the first pitch.

It’s an early blow for the Brewers.
Chourio was hit by a pitch during a World Baseball Classic exhibition game as he suited up for Team Venezuela.
A recent MRI revealed a hairline fracture, and the estimate is that Chourio will miss anywhere from two to four weeks.

Chouri was able to play in the World Baseball Classic, but he had just three hits in five games as Venezuela won the title.
Chourio played in 131 regular-season games for Milwaukee in 2025, hitting .270 with 21 home runs, 78 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases, so he was expected to be a big contributor once again.
The Brewers have Garrett Mitchell playing in Chourio’s place on Opening Day, and the hope is that Chourio will be able to return sooner rather than later.
