The Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies continue to produce great content together.
Lakers star Anthony Davis went viral during Wednesday’s game against the Grizzlies for his funny moment with Tee Morant, the father of Memphis star guard Ja Morant. Tee was sitting courtside and talked trash to Davis and the Lakers throughout the contest.
But it was Davis who got the last laugh, finishing with 21 points and 14 rebounds as the Lakers went on to win 128-123. Davis also had a big clutch three-pointer in the fourth quarter and immediately started yapping at Tee. The two teams then went to timeout, at which point Davis walked right up to Tee and started giving him more trash talk.

Ja Morant didn’t even play against the Lakers due to a hip injury that has him sidelined indefinitely. But his father Tee continues to be a ubiquitous presence at Grizzlies games, usually figuring out a way to draw attention one way or the other.
The Lakers and the Grizzlies, who met in the 2023 playoffs, have developed somewhat of a rivalry with one another. You never know quite what is going to happen when the two face each other, but at least Wednesday’s incident was much more wholesome than the last one that Tee was involved in against the Lakers.
