
The Golden State Warriors will still be without Kevin Durant when the NBA Finals tips off on Thursday night, but their frontcourt should get a huge boost with the return of DeMarcus Cousins.
While speaking with the media in advance of his team’s game against the Toronto Raptors, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said Cousins will be active and is expected to play.

Cousins suffered a torn quad muscle in the opening round of the playoffs, but he was able to avoid surgery and work his way back with rest and rehab. Assuming he’s healthy, he should play a big role in matching up with Marc Gasol.
