Kevin Durant’s brother hints at return to Warriors

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant’s quote about having “unfinished business” has led to a lot of speculation about a potential stay with the Golden State Warriors, and his brother is now fueling the fire.

Klay Thompson’s father Mychal said he heard Thompson and Durant talking about “unfinished business” during a FaceTime call after the end of the NBA Finals. When the quote was posted on a Warriors-themed Instagram page, Tony Durant commented twice, saying “Keep playin if y’all want.”

When asked what he meant, Durant replied “they can count us out now cuz we injured but we gon be back!”

It could easily be passed off as Durant simply saying that he and Thompson will eventually come back stronger from their severe injuries. It’s also easy to see how it could be taken as a hint that Durant would like to stay with Golden State. With the Warriors apparently still committed to both, it’s easy to see the appeal.
