The NBA All-Star Game is adding another form of tribute to Kobe and Gianna Bryant, as well as the seven other victims of last Sunday’s fatal helicopter crash.
The league announced Friday that members of Team LeBron will wear Gianna Bryant’s No. 2 during next month’s game, while those on Team Giannis will wear Kobe Bryant’s No. 24. Both teams will also wear patches on their jerseys with nine stars on them, a reference to the nine victims of the crash.
The NBA says the 2020 NBA All-Star Game will feature Team LeBron wearing the No. 2 and Team Giannis wearing the No. 24 – Gianna and Kobe’s basketball jersey numbers. Both teams will wear jersey patches displaying nine stars, representing those who lost their lives in the crash.

Combined with some rule changes, the All-Star Game is going to turn into a huge tribute to Bryant, as it should. It’s likely that there will be various other tributes as part of the game that have not been announced and may not be before the festivities.
