Report: Rockets uninterested in Jimmy Butler trade talks
The Minnesota Timberwolves are having a hard time unloading Jimmy Butler.
According to Stefano Fusaro of ESPN, the Timberwolves contacted the Houston Rockets about a potential Butler deal, but Houston declined to engage, refusing to discuss P.J. Tucker, whom the Wolves insisted on.
Jimmy Butler update:
According to a league source, The Wolves contacted the Rockets again Tuesday morning, after their failed deal with Miami this past weekend. Minnesota was still adamant on receiving Eric Gordon and PJ Tucker, but Houston will not put Tucker on the table.

There looks to be only one suitor for Butler despite Minnesota’s best efforts. They’re playing this as if they have a lot of leverage, but that simply isn’t the case. It’s clear that Minnesota is still trying to find a way to make this happen, but they’re just not drawing a lot of interest.
