That is obviously encouraging news, though Tagovailoa is still likely facing a lengthy and difficult rehab process. He appeared to be in extreme pain when he suffered the injury during Saturday’s game against Mississippi State, and there were initially rumblings that it could impact his career.
Tagovailoa was a Heisman Trophy candidate and potentially in line to be the No. 1 pick in next year’s NFL Draft prior to the injury, but he has seemingly been in good spirits despite the bad luck. It’s too early to say how his professional career could be impacted, but hopefully a full recovery means he can return to playing at a high level.
