Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles still has yet to make his 2016 season debut, but we many not have to wait for much longer to see it happen.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid left the door open on Friday for Charles to play Sunday against the Jets, saying that he thinks the former All-Pro feels like he will be able to suit up, per Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star.
Reid on Jamaal playing this week: "I think he feels like he can do it."

Reid has been cryptic about Charles’ status in weeks past as well, but the team badly needs Charles to return to the field. Spencer Ware performed admirably in a Week 1 victory over the San Diego Chargers, but Charcandrick West vultured several touches in a Week 2 loss to the Houston Texans, turning the situation into more of a timeshare.
Hopefully Charles’ comeback, whenever it does wind up happening and even if he is limited in the early going, will help provide the Chiefs with a clearer offensive identity moving forward.
