Avonte Maddox says ‘everything is going well’ after being stretchered off field
Avonte Maddox was one of two players who left the field on stretchers during Thursday night’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, and fortunately the defensive back appears to be recovering well.
Maddox, who was on the receiving end of a hit from a teammate toward the end of Philly’s 34-27 win, tweeted on Friday morning that he is doing fine.
Everything is going well. Appreciate the prayers and get well wishes. God is good.

Maddox was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but the Eagles said Thursday night that he had movement in all his extremities. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that Maddox did not spend long at the hospital and was able to fly home to Philadelphia with the team.
Fellow Eagles defensive back Andrew Sendejo accidentally put a big hit on Maddox while trying to tackle Packers tight end Robert Tonyan.

Maddox was the second player to leave the field in a stretcher, as Packers running back Jamaal Williams was carted off following a hit to the head earlier in the game. Reports about his health have also been positive.
