Jamaal Williams was carted off the field in the first quarter of Thursday night’s Green Bay Packers-Philadelphia Eagles game after being hit in the head by Derek Barnett.
Williams had caught a short pass from Aaron Rodgers on first down, just a few minutes into the start of the game. He was stood up by a few Eagles players and his forward progress was stopped when Barnett came in with the helmet shot.

Williams was down on the turf at Lambeau Field and strapped to a backboard and taken away on a cart. FOX’s announcers mentioned that Williams was moving, which was a positive sign about his health.

Williams gave a thumbs up while being carted away.
Barnett was not ejected because the officials who reviewed the play did not think it was egregious.
Williams, a 2017 fourth-round pick, entered the game with 87 rushing yards and 55 receiving yards this season. He was taken to a local hospital for examination and treatment. The Packers said he had movement and feeling in all limbs.
