The Buffalo Bills are looking forward to the opportunity to ruin the New York Jets’ season.
Bills running back Boobie Dixon called next week’s game the team’s Super Bowl, with Rex Ryan’s charges given the chance to knock his former team from playoff contention.
“We got something to play for now,” Dixon said, via ESPN.com’s Mike Rodak. “We been having something to play for — that’s our respect and our pride. We always want that. But to send them home packing — that would be great.
“We’re not going to the playoffs, so the Super Bowl is next week for us. I know we’re gonna have a lot of guys jacked. We already know what’s on the line.”
The Jets are well aware of the threat Buffalo poses.
“It is going to be a tough one,” said linebacker Calvin Pace. “They are not going to be playing for a playoff spot, but Rex will have those guys ready to go and fired up.”
You think Rex Ryan wants this one? He must be salivating at the opportunity to keep the Jets out of the playoffs, and he’ll have his guys up for this one.
