Cal running back Daniel Lasco may have scored the most incredible touchdown of the weekend against Colorado. While his 91-yard score didn’t involve anything flashy like a one-handed catch, we still don’t understand how he emerged from a sea of about seven or eight white jerseys and broke down the sideline.
Lasco caught a pass out of the backfield and had one blocker in front of him. Two Colorado players initially had a shot at him, but neither could get his hands on the junior. Lasco then trucked one defender and kept his legs moving. There were so many players surrounding him at one point that you couldn’t even see him.
And that, my friends, is why you never give up on a play. I’m sure the Colorado players will be forced to watch that replay several times this week.
