Patrick Mahomes’ receivers have been shaky all season. But on Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs’ receiving corps was up to the challenge.
The Chiefs punched their ticket to the Super Bowl by upsetting the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens 17-10 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md.
One massive Chiefs stat from the game became a huge talking point on social media. Kansas City’s receivers did not have a single drop in Sunday’s contest — the first time this season.
The #Chiefs did not drop a pass Sunday, their first game without a dropped pass this season, per @ESPNStatsInfo.

The Chiefs led the entire NFL in drops with 44 during the regular season. Kansas City also had 8 different players with multiple drops throughout the 2023 campaign.
The Chiefs’ season even began with a costly Week 1 drop that appeared to be a bleak omen for how the rest of the year would play out. Mahomes himself looked completely fed up with some of the drops at times.
But with a Super Bowl on the line, not a single one of those players let a catchable football out of their grasp against the Ravens.
Mahomes was rock-solid during the low-scoring affair. The Chiefs quarterback went 30/39 for 241 yards with 1 touchdown.
The Chiefs’ defense held the Ravens to just 10 points — tied for Baltimore’s lowest total this season.
