The internet went nuts in Week 1 when the “Sunday Night Football” headshot used for Dan Bailey showed the Dallas Cowboys kicker with his eyes closed.
As we said at the time, the good news was the Cowboys are on Sunday Night Football frequently enough so NBC would have a chance to make it up to him. It appears they did. You can see the new headshot of him used during the team’s game against the New Orleans Saints in Week 4 showed him with his eyes open looking like a ticked off version of Giovanni Ribisi.
Sadly for Bailey, they didn’t use the altered version he wanted, but at least he doesn’t look as sleepy anymore.
