Video: Lions’ Ty Johnson doing insane workout after team drafts two RBs
Ty Johnson is doing his best to get a leg up on what will be an extremely crowded depth chart next season.
The Detroit Lions running back was videoed this weekend doing an insane workout that involved pulling a large vehicle on his back along some uneven pavement. Take a look:

Johnson, 22, will really have to fight to stay relevant in 2020 with the Lions just selecting two running backs — Georgia’s D’Andre Swift in the second round and New Mexico State’s Jason Huntley in the fifth round — in this year’s draft. Johnson was already buried in the backfield last season behind Kerryon Johnson and Bo Scarbrough and only got 87 total touches all year.
With an even tougher task now awaiting the former Maryland star Johnson, it looks like he is already doing everything he can to stay competitive. Maybe Johnson can get some pointers on his form from this fellow pro athlete.
