Drew Lock favored to start Sunday for Broncos?
It sounds like there is a growing chance that rookie quarterback Drew Lock could make his long-awaited first start of his career on Sunday.
Denver Broncos coach Vic Fangio said Wednesday that Lock was likely ready for more reps, and 9News reporter Mike Klis took this as an indication that Lock is currently favored to get the start Sunday for the lowly Broncos against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Fangio: “I think he’s (Lock) ready for more reps.” So it sounds like Lock’s job to lose. If Lock goes, Brandon Allen would probably be backup. #9sports

Fangio has sent mixed signals on whether Lock will start this year as he recovered from a preseason thumb injury. Back-to-back ugly games by Allen, including going just 10-of-25 against the Buffalo Bills, may ultimately be forcing Denver’s hand. The Broncos have little to play for, and they may as well see what they have in Lock, who could be a long-term factor within the organization if he can show that he’s up to the task.
