The New York Giants’ decision to select Daniel Jones sixth overall in the NFL Draft seems to have come together quickly, at least by the standards of the NFL offseason.
Giants general manager Dave Gettleman admitted Monday night that he didn’t even see Jones play in person until the Senior Bowl, where the Duke quarterback claimed the title of game MVP.
Gettleman says he saw the other QBs play during the regular season. Did not see Daniel in person until the Senior Bowl.
"He walked out there and I saw a professional QB after the three series that I saw. That's when I was in full bloom love."

That probably won’t win a lot of people over. There’s plenty of skepticism about Jones in New York, and maybe Gettleman correctly sees something that a lot of people are missing, but this makes it look a lot like something that came together quickly — arguably too quickly.
