Jaguars-Chiefs game knocked off TV due to power outage
Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs-Jacksonville Jaguars game was derailed during the fourth quarter due to a power outage.
With the Chiefs well ahead in the fourth quarter, CBS affiliates broadcasting the game in Jacksonville switched to a different game. In addition, viewers watching the game as part of the Sunday Ticket subscription package also lost access to the game — unusual, to say the least.
CBS blamed a power surge to their production truck for the broadcast interruption.

The issue was not limited to CBS’ production. NFL Network reported that the power outage impacted the entire stadium, and referees were keeping time on the field.
According to NFL network, power has been knocked out in Jacksonville and so the Chiefs-Jags game has been knocked off TV. they're still playing, refs keeping time on their watches.

A later report, however, indicated that there was power in the stadium, so it was unclear the extent of the hindrance on the game.
The CBS truck here in Jacksonville has lost all power I’m told. Game is still going and there is power in the stadium.

That’s live TV. Better that it happen in a one-sided Week 1 NFL game as opposed to the opener of the World Series.
