The Jacksonville Jaguars are concerned about the status of Leonard Fournette, whose hamstring injury continues to be a problem.
Fournette exited the Jaguars’ Week 1 game with a hamstring injury that caused him to miss two more weeks. Fournette decided to play in Week 4 on Sunday against the New York Jets but left the game in the second after re-injuring his hamstring.
Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said after the game that he was concerned about Fournette and called it a “bad sign” that the running back got hurt again.
“I’d be bullsh—— if I said no [he wasn’t concerned],” Marrone said, via ESPN’s Michael DiRocco. “Any time you come back and you get ready to go and all of a sudden you get injured again it’s not a good sign.”
Fournette is starting to get a reputation for not being very durable. He was limited to seven games during his junior season at LSU because of an ankle injury. He missed three games during his rookie season last year because of his ankle. And now he’s already missed time this season — and could miss more — because of his hamstring.
