Jamaal Williams shares positive update after frightening exit from game
Two players were taken off the field in stretchers during Thursday night’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, but fortunately both avoided any type of serious injury.
Eagles defensive back Avonte Maddox said Friday morning that “everything is going well” for him after he exited the game following a scary hit from a teammate, and Jamaal Williams has now also shared a positive update on social media. The Packers running back said the “only thing hurting right now is my pride” and sent well wishes to Maddox.

Williams took a brutal hit to the head from Eagles defensive end Derek Barnett just minutes after the start of the game.

While the hit came after Williams’ forward progress had been stopped, Barnett is expected to avoid any type of serious disciplinary action from the NFL.
It’s always frightening when players are immobilized and taken off the field the way Williams and Maddox were, so it is great news that both are doing well less than 24 hours later.
