JJ Watt could miss first two games of regular season
J.J. Watt is said to be progressing nicely in his rehab from back surgery he underwent last month, but there is still some uncertainty over whether he will miss regular season time.
On Friday, Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien told ESPN’s Ed Werder that he is unsure if Watt will be ready for Week 1.

The initial timeline for Watt’s recovery was 10 weeks, which would have placed his return right around Week 3. There have been reports, however, that he may not miss any regular season games.
Watt has a history of playing through pain, as we were reminded when he revealed the significant injury he was dealing with last season. However, the Texans might want to be careful with the reigning Defensive Player of the Year early in the season. If this was later in the year, Watt would probably be a lock to play.
