Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco did not hide his disappointment Sunday after getting booed by his own fans at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
Flacco put on a miserable performance through the first three quarters of the Browns’ Week 3 clash against the Green Bay Packers. He went 13/21 for 101 yards as Cleveland remained scoreless heading into the final period.
The veteran QB threw an ugly incompletion late in the third quarter that particularly frustrated the crowd. Facing 1st-and-10 near midfield, Flacco badly underthrew a pass to Quinshon Judkins in an apparent attempt to avoid giving up an interception. The boo birds started singing once the pigskin hit dirt.

During his postgame press conference, Flacco was asked about hearing the boos.
“There’s a piece of you in there; it hurts you a little bit,” Flacco told reporters.
“You want to react to it, but you can’t. I talk about it a lot. Being a pro, being in this sport, you can’t be that guy. You will not survive. We’re all human. I’m sure that affects people, in not a positive way. But you’ve got to be able to rally, and at least fake it, then go out there.”
Flacco finished with a 21/36 passing clip for 142 yards and an interception.
Despite playing like a Triple-A team for most of the game, the Browns mounted a miraculous comeback to stun the Packers. Cleveland got a crucial interception with just over three minutes left that allowed the team to score a game-tying touchdown.
The Browns stole the win thanks to a blocked field goal in the closing minute, which allowed Cleveland to kick the game-winning score themselves for a 13-10 win.

While the Browns got the victory, the calls for Flacco to be replaced by Dillon Gabriel or even Shedeur Sanders will likely grow louder if the veteran doesn’t shape up.
