If there’s one thing you can say for Joe Flacco, it’s that he’s not lacking confidence. In fact, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback may have an unreasonable amount of it.
Flacco’s Ravens lost to the hot Dallas Cowboys 27-17 on Sunday to fall to 5-5. They were about 7-point underdogs in the game, but Flacco said afterwards that he still expects to beat the Cowboys.

If it’s any consolation, Joe, much greater teams have tried to take down the Cowboys and failed. There’s a reason why Dallas has won nine in a row, and a lot of it has to do with the way the team finishes. Baltimore was up 7-0 and then 10-7, but Dallas went on a 17-0 run to go up 24-10 in the fourth quarter.
The result of the game may be disappointing for Flacco, but at least he is showing some confidence and belief, which are signs of a good leader (are you paying attention, Ray Lewis?).
