Leonard Fournette expected to play vs. Patriots despite ankle injury
Leonard Fournette aggravated an ankle injury in last Sunday’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it is not expected to limit the star running back in the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported on Wednesday that Fournette has actually been dealing with the same ankle injury for much of the season. While he briefly left Jacksonville’s game against the Steelers, he is planning to practice in full this week.

Fournette gave Jags fans a scare this week when he was involved in a minor car accident, but he did not suffer any injuries. The rookie rushed for 109 yards and three scores on 25 carries against Pittsburgh and should be a huge part of the game plan on Sunday. If his ankle ends up bothering him, that could be an issue for Jacksonville.
