
The protests across the NFL during the national anthem are even extending to the anthem singers.
In Detroit, local artist Rico Lavelle performed the song as members of both teams, including the owners, linked arms and stood together on the sideline. A handful of players on both teams knelt as well.
Lavelle, however, had a finish in store that saw him kneel during the last line and then raise his fist.

Players and teams have taken varying stances on Sunday, but it was certainly unique to see one of the anthem singers make a statement as well.
