Packers, Raiders in talks to play preseason game in Canada
The Green Bay Packers and Oakland Raiders could be playing a preseason game north of the border later this year.
The NFL is always looking for ways to expand its brand. The league has scheduled regular season games in London since 2007. Last year, the NFL announced it will return to Mexico City in 2019 despite last season’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams having to be moved to Los Angeles due to unplayable field conditions.
This year’s NFL preseason schedule could contain a game played in Canada. The Packers said they are in talks to play a preseason game either in Saskatchewan or Winnipeg.

The Raiders will have a “home” game in London during the coming season, so this would represent a second game outside of the country for the franchise. The Packers have previously played preseason games in Toronto and Tokyo.
