Pat Patriot is still on the injury report, but there seems to be optimism that he’ll be good to go for Super Bowl LIII.
The Patriots’ mascot is still dealing with significant soreness after being on the receiving end of a Jamal Adams tackle, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. In fact, things were severe enough that the person in the costume had to be checked for a concussion.
Update on #Patriots mascot @PatPatriot following the leaping tackle from #Jets S Jamal Adams: The mascot is still dealing with jaw, neck, and back soreness and was checked for a concussion. As of this morning, he was still planning on being in Atlanta for the Super Bowl.

The good news is that Pat Patriot appears to be good to go for the Super Bowl. It would have been a pretty bad way for the mascot’s season to end if they were knocked out of commission by a joke that went too far.
There’s still no word on whether anyone is going to take any action over Adams’ flying tackle. It was done in fun, but the Jets safety doesn’t seem to know his own strength.
