Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams appear to be headed toward a resolution on his contract.
According to CBS Sports’s Jason La Canfora, Donald and the Rams are expected to wrap up a new deal by the time they play their next preseason game on Saturday, with things “trending” in that direction.

Donald has not been at training camp, and his holdout had been expected to be lengthy and has been. For a while, talks did not appear to be going well, but there looks to have been a breakthrough in recent days. This will give Donald ample time to be ready for the season, a year in which the Rams have Super Bowl aspirations in no small part to their talented defensive lineman’s presence.
