Report: Browns still have no intention of trading Odell Beckham Jr.
Trade rumors involving Odell Beckham Jr. have once once again resurfaced, but the Cleveland Browns’ stance on the star wide receiver reportedly remains unchanged.
WFAN’s Marc Malusis claimed this week that a source told him the Browns and Minnesota Vikings have had detailed discussions about a Beckham trade. The report was met with skepticism, and Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports decided to look into it. He says he was told “unequivocally” that the Vikings have not had trade talks with Cleveland about Beckham. Not only that, but OBJ is not on the trade block.
I chased the Odell Beckham Jr. trade talk. I was told unequivocally the #Vikings haven't had any trade discussions with the #Browns about Beckham Jr. No calls about Beckham Jr. and no discussion of trade compensation. As an aside, the #Browns do not have Beckham Jr. on the block.

The Browns gave us a strong hint last month that they are not planning to part ways with Beckham, but that hasn’t stopped the speculation. There’s probably nothing anyone can say to convince fans that Beckham’s roster spot in Cleveland is safe, but the odds are heavily stacked against a trade at this point.
With the Browns having a new offensive-minded head coach in Kevin Stefanski, it makes sense that they would want to see what Beckham can do in a new system. If everything clicks, Cleveland’s offense could be as deadly as many expected it to be before Freddie Kitchens failed miserably.
