Richard Sherman unhappy Browns passed on 49ers DC Robert Saleh
San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh came up with a game plan on Saturday that completely stumped the Minnesota Vikings, but it was not enough to convince the Cleveland Browns to hire him as their next head coach. Instead, the Browns have reached an agreement with the man Saleh outsmarted.
Richard Sherman does not seem pleased about that.
When word surfaced that Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski has reached a deal with the Browns, Sherman sent a tweet indicating he is in disbelief.
Wow just wow…… just W….O….W…. guess I should have expected it https://t.co/NqY7s1GxP5

The Vikings managed just 193 total yards of offense in their 27-10 loss to the Niners on Saturday. Stefanski was ridiculed on social media for his playcalling in the contest, but obviously the Browns didn’t make their decision based on one game.
While Saleh should be a top head coaching candidate next offseason, the Browns likely chose Stefanski because he is an offensive coach who has helped turn guys like Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen into superstars. He is also a respected quarterbacks coach, so Cleveland believes he can develop Baker Mayfield and turn things around for their talented offense.
Sherman, of course, has made a career out of the perception that people don’t show him enough respect. It’s no surprise he feels the same way on behalf of his coach.
