Sergio Garcia climbs tree to hit crazy shot, withdraws from round (Video)
Sergio Garcia made one of the wildest golf shots we have seen, and it took place during the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational Sunday.
Garcia’s tee shot on the 10th hole ended up in a tree, so he climbed the tree to locate the ball which was stuck between branches. He grabbed hold of a branch to his left and backhanded a shot that knocked the ball back onto the fairway.
Garcia double-bogeyed the par-4 hole and withdrew two holes later. He was five over for the round and three over for the week when he withdrew. Maybe the tree shot was too mentally draining for him to continue.
