David Angle, the 62-year-old brother of wrestler Kurt Angle, is being held in jail after being arrested and charged for homicide. Angle is suspected of killing his wife during a fight at their home early Sunday morning.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that police responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance and a woman not breathing. Responders found 57-year-old Donna Angle unresponsive on the floor of the living room. The call was responded to at 6:24 a.m. and Angle was pronounced dead at a hospital at 7:13 a.m.
Angle told police they got into a fight around 3:00 a.m. after Donna tried to get him to drink some vodka with her and he refused. He told police all of their fights revolved around alcohol and that he has “anger issues.”
The Post-Gazette has more about what Angle told police:
After his wife tried to kick him, he “grabbed both of her arms, pulled her off the couch, put his foot on her chest and then pulled,” the complaint said. He told police he couldn’t recall how long he did that but said “it was not for minutes.”
Angle’s attempts to revive his wife were unsuccessful.
A neighbor told WPXI that the couple “had their problems” over the years “but nothing like this.” The neighbor described them as “good neighbors, good people.”
