Either one of them could have gotten it. I don't get why LeBron is considered with them, he missed something like 6 games with a pinky sprain on his non shooting hand while Kobe has played half the year with a pinky ligament tear on his shooting hand. I think very highly of his supporting cast in New Orleans. LeBron certainly deserves it as well, all three do. The one knock I would have on LeBron is the games he missed with a few minor injuries while Kobe played in every game and led the Lakers to the top seed in a highly competitive Western Conference. Kobe is the MVP below the neck only. He will indeed win the award, but Chris Paul did more with less and LeBron James had better stats than Kobe across the board and played with a weaker group of teammates the whole season.
