Baylor coaches protest administration with ‘truth don’t lie’ tweets

Jim Grobe Baylor

Multiple members of Baylor’s coaching staff tweeted the same message on Monday in protest of the school’s administration. Their tweets all came in response to information being shared regarding the Jeremy Faulk case.

Faulk was set to transfer in from Baylor from a junior college, but the school cancelled that due to investigations of two incidents involving Faulk — one at Baylor, and another at Florida Atlantic. Faulk long complained that he did not receive a chance to clear his name, share his side, or explain what happened.

Interim head coach Jim Grobe initially took the heat for Faulk having his scholarship pulled and not being allowed on the team, but the coach told KWTX Monday that it was actually the school’s administration that made the decision to ensure Faulk would not be allowed on the team.

Grobe and Baylor’s AD jointly decided to temporarily remove Faulk from the team during the investigation process, but they did not kick him off permanently.

Grobe only made the call to KWTX to share what happened in the Faulk case after the team’s assistant coaches complained about taking the heat for the administration’s moves. That led to this response from multiple Baylor coaches on Twitter:

Baylor’s coaches all tweeted “truth don’t lie” while sharing a link to the story about Faulk’s case.

Clearly Baylor is still having problems as they try to clean up the program in response to the sexual assault scandal.
