Brandon Nimmo has received hilarious offers after food poisoning story

New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo did not actually get sick after undercooking his food, as was originally reported, but that hasn’t stopped him from getting a lot of offers of help.
Nimmo was sent home from Mets’ camp last week with what was originally reported to be food poisoning as a result of his own kitchen mishap, but it was eventually discovered that the outfielder fell victim to a virus and wasn’t at fault. That said, the initial diagnosis made its way around the internet, and the damage was done. On the bright side, though, the offers came pouring in as a result.
Brandon Nimmo said he has received multiple digital meat thermometers and offers from personal chefs in recent days.
“I don’t think I need a digital thermometer endorsement,” he said.
(Reminder: It was a virus, not food poisoning. “It’s nice to be vindicated,” he said.)

Nimmo now has a reputation as a terrible cook, and it seems to be unfair, but maybe he can find something good among the personal chef offers. It can’t hurt, anyway.
