Just after the New York Yankees got him healthy, Giancarlo Stanton is heading back to the injured list.
Stanton hurt his knee during Tuesday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays, and while an initial MRI sounded positive, manager Aaron Boone announced after Wednesday’s game that Stanton was returning to the IL with a strained PCL.

Stanton will be out for longer than the minimum ten days, as the Yankees won’t even re-evaluate him for another week and a half.
Giancarlo Stanton will be re-evaluated in 10 days, Aaron Boone said. Means this will be longer than a 10-day stint.

Stanton just cannot stay healthy in 2019. He missed nearly three months with a biceps injury, and in his first attempt at rehabbing it, he hurt his calf. He had returned to the Yankee lineup on June 18 and lasted roughly a week before getting hurt again. In total, he has played just nine games all season.
