Devin Booker makes admission about Clippers’ new arena
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker seems to think the Los Angeles Clippers did one particular thing right with the construction of the Intuit Dome.
The Clippers’ new $2 billion arena contains a very unique feature known as “The Wall.” It is a steep 51-row section that is positioned behind the basket visiting teams will shoot at in the second half of games, and is meant to be populated by the most rabid fans.
It certainly seemed to serve its purpose in the arena’s regular season debut on Wednesday night when the Clippers hosted the Phoenix Suns. The Wall provided an intimidating environment, and normally reliable shooters like Kevin Durant were missing free throws in the second half.

Perhaps the biggest endorsement of The Wall came from Booker, who suggested after the game it had had an impact on Suns players in the second half.
“I missed a free throw, man. I was pissed,” Booker told reporters after the game. “(Durant) missed two down there, too, so that s–t might work. You spend $2 billion and put a wall up.”

The Suns wound up winning the game in overtime by a score of 116-113.
The Wall may not be the coolest feature the Clippers have in the new arena, but it might wind up being the most impactful.
