Jimmermania has officially gone global.
According to international basketball reporter David Pick on Tuesday, former No. 10 overall pick Jimmer Fredette has agreed to a deal to play in China next season with the Shanghai Sharks, the team owned by Yao Ming.

Fredette, 27, has cycled through several 10-day contracts and D-League/Summer League stints in recent years. He last played for the New York Knicks in 2015-16, seeing the court for a grand total of five minutes and notching seven points and one turnover with no other stats to his credit.
A one-dimensional guard not good for much other than shooting the basketball, Fredette was doomed for failure in the NBA from the very start. But perhaps if he can find a Stephon Marbury-esque second basketball life overseas, The Legend of Jimmer will continue to live on.
