Steve Kerr somehow got ejected at halftime of Warriors-Grizzlies game
Steve Kerr pulled the NBA game equivalent of getting fired on your day off on Monday.
The Golden State Warriors coach got ejected from his team’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies … at halftime. It was a ghastly half for the reeling Warriors, who fell behind 63-37 and shot just 27 percent from the floor.
After the halftime buzzer sounded, Kerr, who was apparently upset about a missed goaltend call late in the half, went after referee Brett Nansel. Kerr was promptly assessed two technical fouls and tossed from the game. The veteran coach also had some words for referee JB DeRosa before exiting.

Warriors assistant coach Mike Brown took over for the rest of the contest. Since the ejection occurred at halftime, the Grizzlies got two free throws to open the third quarter (one for each technical foul that Kerr got).
Kerr may have just been trying anything to fire up his demoralized Warriors, who entered the game just 1-5 since Steph Curry suffered a foot injury. But it did not work as Golden State instead went down even further, falling behind by 30 at one point in the third quarter. Still, this is probably the most irate we have seen Kerr since this ejection of his from a couple of seasons ago.
