The Philadelphia Eagles have managed to retain several of their key players after winning a championship while also adding some other important pieces, but they are reportedly moving on from a reliable veteran.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles have decided to release linebacker Mychal Kendricks.
Eagles releasing veteran LB Mychal Kendricks, per source. Kendricks spent six years with Eagles; he’s not expected to be unemployed long.

Kendricks, 27, appeared in 15 games for the Eagles in each of the past two seasons. The former second-round pick recorded 77 total tackles and two sacks while helping the Eagles win a Super Bowl last year.
The Eagles were said to be shopping Kendricks after they resigned one of their other linebackers earlier in the offseason, so the move does not come as a surprise. Kendricks should find a new home relatively quickly.
