Jake Elliott produced a “doink” so loud that they probably heard all the way in Pittsburgh.
The Philadelphia Eagles kicker Elliott got off to a rough start during Sunday’s NFC Wild Card playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers. In the first quarter at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa., Elliott came on for the extra point after a one-yard touchdown run by Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert.
Unfortunately for Elliott, he blew the PAT in dramatic fashion. Elliott “doinked” the kick off the top part of the upright, resulting in a sickening thud.
Here is the video.

That particular miss might not have been entirely Elliott’s fault. For one, there were heavy winds in Philadelphia during Sunday’s playoff game with gusts in the range of 30-40 mph at kickoff.
But the former All-Pro Elliott did not exactly earn himself the benefit of the doubt during the regular season with his shoddy performances. Elliott entered play on Saturday having already missed eight total kicks on the year (seven field goals and one extra point). That included an awful three-miss half just a few weeks ago.
The 30-year-old Elliott was also looking shoddy during last year’s postseason and did not do himself any favors to start off the game against the 49ers either.
