Kirk Cousins offers interesting comments about playing for Bill Belichick
Kirk Cousins is inevitably going to spark some speculation with new comments he made about potentially playing for Bill Belichick.
Cousins will be a free agent this offseason, and he is hoping to make a comeback as a starter coming off his Achilles injury. In an interview with Isabel Gonzalez of CBS Sports, when asked about playing for Belichick, Cousins sounded very interested.
I talked to Kirk Cousins this week and he shared his thoughts on Bill Belichick:
“… you know he is usually going to break the mold and do something different, and that's probably what has made him a great coach."

“I’m not going to turn down an opportunity to play with a future Hall of Fame coach, but we’ll have to see where March leads,” Cousins said. “It’s just a lot of unknowns right now.”
Cousins praised Belichick’s ability to change things up and throw new looks at opponents despite his decades of experience.
“You always know when you play him that you are kind of looking over your shoulder wondering if what you are seeing is correct because you know he is usually going to break the mold and do something different, and that’s probably what has made him a great coach,” Cousins said.
Of course, we do not know if or where Belichick will be coaching next year. One team appears to have strong interest, and that team does need a quarterback. Cousins has some priorities of his own on his next contract, so it is perhaps possible that there is a fit if Belichick ends up in the right job.
