Percy Harvin felt like outsider with Seahawks

Percy Harvin is now on his fourth team in four seasons, and he says this one fits him better than one of his previous stops.

Harvin, who signed a one-year, $6 million deal with the Bills in March, joined ESPN’s “First Take” Wednesday and told the hosts that he feels more comfortable in Buffalo than Seattle.

“I think most importantly, from this year to Seattle, my teammates accept me a little more,” Harvin said. “I felt when I went to Seattle a lot of the receivers took me as a threat rather than accepting me as a teammate. I always told those guys — I pulled them to the side several times after seeing a couple of the comments they were making to the media — ‘Hey, guys, I’m here to ball with you, to take us to the next level.’ A lot of guys were looking at they were established and they didn’t need any help. I just took it as I never was kind of accepted in the receiver group by all the members.”

Harvin also said he kind of had to sit in the back of the room for meetings and walk on eggshells. Stephen A. Smith then tried to defend Harvin and set him up for a question by suggesting he’s gotten a bad rap to which Harvin agreed.

The whole trail of conversation was nothing short of a joke. If Smith and Skip didn’t have their heads so far up Harvin’s ass, they might have pointed out that it doesn’t make sense for such a talented player in the middle of his prime to be on his fourth team in four seasons. Heck, for all the problems Dez Bryant supposedly has had off the field, the Dallas Cowboys have done everything to keep him. Why are so many teams willing to let Harvin go? It’s because he is a problem everywhere he goes. He doesn’t have a bad rap; he earned a bad rap.

Recall that Harvin got into a fight with Golden Tate and nearly fought Russell Wilson. The guy supposedly pulled himself out of three games with the Seahawks. He also supposedly had issues with Christian Ponder in Minnesota. Then let’s not forget the time Harvin grabbed a coach by the neck during his time at Florida.

God forbid Skip and Stephen A. actually do a little research before serving up softballs to the problematic playmaker.
