Photo of Commanders CB Emmanuel Forbes looking skinny goes viral
Washington Commanders cornerback Emmanuel Forbes was one of the top prospects in the country when he came out of college last year despite his undersized build, and it appears he may have gotten even smaller.
Forbes weighed in at 166 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine last year. While some scouts were concerned about Forbes’ wiry frame, the Commanders still took the former Mississippi State star with the No. 16 overall pick. Forbes is now listed at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, but a lot of people are calling BS on the weight.
A photo went viral on social media over the weekend that showed Forbes standing next to high schooler Zayion Cotton at Forbes’ football camp on Saturday. Forbes is the one who looked like the teenager.
Had a great time at your camp today @emmanuelforbes7 thanks for the signed jersey!!! pic.twitter.com/ysVeL2kkz7

Granted, Cotton is a 6-foot-5, 205-pound wide receiver prospect, but Forbes does not look like he weighs 180 pounds in that photo.
Forbes played in 14 games for Washington as a rookie last season. He had 38 total tackles, 11 passes defended and an interception. His weight has not stopped him from having success against wide receivers, though he was taunted after being burned by one superstar last year (video here).
While speed and quickness are the most important aspects of Forbes’ game, you have to wonder if the Commanders want him to bulk up a bit.
