The Baltimore Ravens will likely be missing one of their top offensive players in Saturday night’s AFC Wild Card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ravens star wide receiver Zay Flowers suffered a knee injury during the team’s regular-season finale. Flowers hurt his right knee after making a catch and trying to pick up extra yardage. You can see the play here.
While the injury is not as serious as it could have been, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported on Wednesday that Flowers is not expected to play in the opening round of the playoffs.

“Pro Bowl receiver Zay Flowers for the Baltimore Ravens, from my understanding, is a long shot to be able to play this weekend,” Rapoport said. “He was not a participant at practice yesterday. He is pretty sore. Dealing with that sprain, he’s had several opinions on it. Everyone has a chance because it’s the playoffs, but to me this appears to be a long shot.”
Rapoport added that Flowers will have a chance to play in the Divisional Round if the Ravens beat the Steelers and advance.
Flowers was the Ravens’ leading receiver this season. The second-year wideout caught 74 passes for 1,059 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was named to the Pro Bowl.
The Ravens are a big favorite against Pittsburgh even without Flowers, but it’s worth noting that the former first-round pick had 5 catches for 100 yards when Baltimore beat the Steelers 34-17 a few weeks back.
Fans all had the same reaction to Flowers suffering an injury in Week 18.
